AFRI-CIRD’s RESEARCH FELLOW ATTENDS A TWO WEEKS RESIDENTIAL SUMMER INSTITUTE AT BROWN UNIVERSITY IN RHODE ISLAND, USA
The Brown University International Advanced Research Institutes (BIARI) convene early-career participants from around the world to address pressing global issues through collaboration across academic, professional, and geographic boundaries through a two weeks residential summer institute at Brown University in Rhode Island. This year featured 75 participants from across the globe on three main institutes:
• Forced Population Displacements and the Making of the Modern World;
• Governance and Development in the Ages of Globalization; and
• Social Entrepreneurship in Health and Humanitarian Innovations
AFRI-CIRD Fellow, Mr. Peter Adeyeye was selected in this year institute on Social Entrepreneurship in Health and Humanitarian Innovations in an intensive two weeks of capacity building, collaborations and presentations in an emerging field of development called Social Entrepreneurship; an hybrid model of charity and enterprise. An innovative way of doing social good in a self-sustaining way!
