Deutsche fur International Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) through its Pro – Poor Growth and Promotion of Employment in Nigeria (SEDIN), has commissioned AFRI-CIRD to conduct a research study on ‘Strengthening of Local Markets and Market Institutions in Nigeria’. The broad objective of this study is to understand the existing state of market infrastructure and institutions in selected markets in Plateau, Niger, Kaduna, Ogun, Oyo and Edo states with a bid of understanding the current challenges faced by MSMEs. In addition to the research study, AFRI-CIRD will design a Pilot Model Intervention, Monitoring and Evaluation System that will strengthen the market infrastructure and institutions towards the aim of inclusive growth for the MSMEs in Nigeria. The contract which began from the 12th November 2018, will end by 22nd February 2019.
